Way cooler than I thought it would be!! I especially like that the cup holder can drop down and stay hidden for when you have three people traveling in the back seat.I installed this rear cup holder in my 2025 Model Y Juniper a week ago, and overall it’s been a noticeable upgrade over the stock rear console. The installation was dead-simple with literally no drilling or special tools required as it just “snaps in” cleanly and aligns perfectly with the rear cup recess.Once in, it does its job well and can fit standard bottles, 12–16 oz soda cans, and typical takeaway coffee cups stay upright and stable even when I hit bumps or take sharper turns. My previous problem of hot drinks tipping or rattling in the rear cup holder is now almost gone. Clean-up after spills is also much easier with it being made of the rigid plastic that can just be pulled out and it’s easy to wipe downThat said, there are a few drawbacks worth noting but honestly it’s the same for many cars. Taller bottles or wide tumblers (e.g. big travel mugs) require a bit of wrestling to fit. It’ll work but it’s a snug fit. If you habitually carry big “Yeti-style” mugs or oversized bottles in back, you may find yourself resorting to door-pockets or between your legs instead. If you habitually carry big “Yeti-style” mugs or oversized bottles in back, you may find yourself resorting to door-pockets or floor space instead. If you often carry large bottles or oversized mugs — go in expecting those to be more “iffy.”I love love love that the lower cup holder section that otherwise sticks out can be dropped down and stowed out of the way. Value for the money is great and this unusually feature is very unique
