Tesla’s 2025 Impact Report highlights strong progress in electric vehicles, energy storage, autonomous driving and clean energy. The company delivered 1.636 million EVs, deployed over 46 GWh of energy storage and helped customers avoid nearly 37 million metric tons of CO₂e emissions. Tesla also expanded its Supercharger network, launched Robotaxi service in Austin and continued advancing AI-driven mobility and energy solutions.

Tesla has released its 2025 Impact Report, highlighting major progress across electric vehicles, autonomous driving, energy storage and renewable charging.

Tesla continues to lead in electric-vehicle efficiency

The Model Y Long Range AWD can travel approximately 7 kilometers per kWh, while the upcoming Cybercab is expected to achieve at least 9.8 kilometers per kWh.

In China, the Model 3 Long Range RWD offers up to 830 kilometers of CLTC range, while the Model Y Long Range RWD reaches 821 kilometers.

Lower Cost of Ownership

According to the report, the Model Y RWD has a total ownership cost of less than RMB 3.3 per kilometer, including depreciation, insurance, maintenance and energy expenses.

Vehicle Safety

Tesla vehicles recorded an average of 6.6 fires per 1 billion miles, compared with approximately 54 fires per 1 billion miles across all vehicles in the United States.

Tesla also reported that vehicles using its driver-assistance features experienced:

Around one-eighth as many serious collisions Around one-seventh as many minor collisions Approximately 5% lower energy consumption than manual driving

Tesla’s assisted-driving systems have now accumulated more than 17 billion kilometers of driving data.

Rapid Growth in Energy Storage

Tesla deployed more than 46 GWh of energy storage in 2025.

Megapack deployments increased by 49% year over year, with more than 2,000 projects across over 65 countries. By the end of the year, approximately 31 GWh of Megapack capacity was operating worldwide.

Tesla is also expanding production:

More than 40 GWh of annual capacity at the Lathrop Megafactory The one-millionth Powerwall produced at Gigafactory Nevada Continued Megapack production at the Shanghai Megafactory A new Houston Megafactory planned for Megapack 3, with annual capacity of up to 50 GWh Climate Impact

Tesla estimates that its EVs, energy-storage systems and solar products helped customers avoid nearly 37 million metric tons of CO₂e emissions in 2025, approximately 16% more than in 2024.

A Tesla vehicle can offset its higher manufacturing emissions after around four years or 61,600 kilometers of driving. Over a typical 17-year vehicle lifetime, one Tesla can avoid an average of approximately 32 metric tons of CO₂e emissions.

Renewable Supercharging

In 2025, Tesla added more than 12,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide and delivered over 6.5 TWh of electricity.

Compared with gasoline-powered transportation, the Supercharger network helped avoid more than 12 million metric tons of CO₂e emissions.

From electric vehicles and energy storage to Robotaxis and humanoid robots, Tesla is increasingly combining EVs, energy and artificial intelligence into one connected ecosystem.

Its goal remains unchanged: to accelerate the transition toward a safer, cleaner and more sustainable future.
